The Padirac Cave
The Gouffre de Padirac is a monumental natural cave located a few kilometers from Rocamadour, in the Dordogne region. It is one of the most iconic caves and chasms in France!

The opening is 35 meters in diameter and the chasm plunges 75 meters below the surface of the limestone plateau. At a depth of 103 meters, you can see the Padirac River flowing through a network of galleries stretching over 40 km!
At the Gouffre de Padirac, just over 1 kilometer is open to the public! Your journey begins on a boat. The tour will allow you to discover the Grande Pendeloque, a stalactite over 60 meters long! You will then discover the Lac de la Pluie, the Lac des Gours, and finally the Salle du Grand Dôme.
